The best way to describe this is long, painful, but rewarding. I had never used oiled pastels prior to this so I am glad that I used them. While it did not turn out perfect or to the level which I wanted, I still enjoyed the learning experience. So I focused on a small part of the dishwasher to try to not have too many things for the eyes to wonder. It is not my best work but I didn't know oil pastels would be so difficult and time consuming but I tried my best.

  1. Santiago,
Great job experimenting. Your colors work real well with each other. In fact, I think you should be proud of it. I'm curious about the dimensions and what type of support it was drawn on, such as paper, board, canvas. It is very difficult to get detail with this medium; Therefore, the composition and colors are usually emphasized. I encourage you to draw very large with your next oil pastel piece. Do not be afraid of mixin, perhaps some that would allow for detail.
